Besides nepotism, what's the best way to land that dream IT job you've been wanting?

It's the first cousin to nepotism, and it's responsible for people getting 80% of new jobs. Make a guess, what do you think?

• Going door to door and begging?

• Job Fairs?

• Being in the right place at the right time?
  • Nope.

All right, I know I'm killin' ya here. The answer is:

NETWORKING

That's right, talking to people, letting them know what you do, and getting referrals is responsible for 80% of new jobs. Word of mouth. Telling the bloke next to you what you do. Handing out business cards. Attending networking groups such as LeTip.
