Unlike any other time in history, we are facing a socio-economic storm that threatens our very way of life.
No, I'm not just "being apocalyptic." I'm actually not even over-dramatizing the situation. I've written about this before, but it bears repeating, and perhaps even more loudly: your job, your way of life, is being threatened by machines. Robots. 'Bots. Computerized henchman - er - henchthings - created by the elite for the elite.
Lest you think I'm being a bit too melodramatic, check yourself before you wreck yourself. I'm not. The truth is, this automation craze we are seeing is only the beginning of the beginning of the beginning of a new, hyper-automated world.
A world where you are at the store, and you want to know if you are out of eggs? How about a fridgerator that will tell you? Sounds crazy? Um, it's already out - check this: Smart Refrigerator Review.
OK you knew about that? What about the self-driving cars that Uber and Otto are creating?
Old hat? You're up to snuff? Do you realize this trend ain't gonna stop? You think you're safe, because you're an accountant? According to ReplacedByRobot.info, you have a 98% chance that your job will be easily replaced by a robot, an AI, a computer, or some digital vermin destined to replace you. And that's an ACCOUNTANT job! People go to school and take classes to learn this stuff.
Surely you know about the Internet of Things (IoT)? This is where absolutely everything you own becomes "self-aware" and is trackable, over the Internet, with intelligence that can help (or hinder) you in your life. It's the ultimate Big Brother, and it's not only coming, it's here. Soon you will not be able to buy anything that does not have some kind of connection to the internet and some inherent machine/computer intelligence. 'Bye Privacy. (Oh wait, we lost that eons ago...)
Guys, I truly hate to be the bearer of bad news, but our way of life is going bye-bye. I mean, seriously. There are few jobs that cannot be automated, and I recently read a statistic that at least 50% of jobs can be automated NOW with current technology. Where will that lead us in a few years?
Creative jobs may be safe. But even now Adobe created an AI system that does at least part of the job of a web designer. I ask you what do you think will happen when they come for your job?
The elites are aware of this. They are even proposing to offer us poor proletariat, us poor unwashed masses, a "Universal Basic Income" or UBI for short. If you watch the documentary I mentioned, Obsolete, they show that the powerful want us to have about $10,000/year of "free" money. Of course it's not enough to live on. It's just enough to keep us from starving (they think - but I don't think), but not enough to give us what we need or want.
In other words, it's supposedly enough to barely give us the basics but give us "incentive" to keep working. Do you know anyone who could live on $10k/year? Many earn that in a month. Of course all this will do is raise all prices, effectively erasing the "benefit" of that money to begin with.
In fact, not to piss you off, but the average CEO makes in an HOUR what the average worker at this company makes in a MONTH. Actually, if you're not pissed off about that, you better check to see if you still have a pulse. Our way of life is eroding, while they give us movies and games and attempt to distract us from using our own God-given computers (our brains).
What is needed is not handouts. What is needed is a genuinely new economic system, perhaps one not predicated on money as we know it. The system has to change, or we will perish. It's just that simple.
Absent such a change, we are headed into some very, very dark days.
It's not a matter of "if." That's a foregone conclusion. It's a matter of WHEN. This WILL happen. Start thinking about how you are going to take care of yourself and your family. Because in the coming days, we are completely at-risk of becoming obsolete. Human work will no longer have value, and we become as "pets" to those in charge.
